Who We Are
Our Mission
The Jonathan Travis Riddle Foundation (JTRF) was created as a labor of love by Diana Denrich-Riddle, the surviving spouse of murder victim Jonathan Travis Riddle. Jon and Diana had met in December 2015, in an outpatient rehabilitation program in Westminster, Maryland. Friendship and ultimately love blossomed. The two were wed on March 31, 2018. On March 18, 2020, Jon was violently murdered by a group of men who accused him of stealing $40 of crystal meth. Jon’s struggle with addiction was fierce. The circumstances surrounding his death are not what families of addiction worry about as a primary focus. As his wife, When Diana realized Jon was missing that morning, she immediately suspected an overdose. Nothing could have prepared her to hear the details she would ultimately learn. Addiction is a pandemic that has hit this country hard. The Jonathan Travis Riddle Foundation will fight to combat the affects of addiction in the community through scholarships, community building activities and sober living opportunities.
